Furniture & appliances

The council slot is three weeks away and the sofa is already in the hall. We collect bulky items, and we take them from inside — including up stairs. Fridges and freezers need to be empty and defrosted.

How furniture & appliances works with Lee

Single bulky items are the jobs the council makes you wait for. A sofa in the hall, a fridge, a mattress, a wardrobe. We collect them from inside, including up stairs, across Basildon, Leigh-on-Sea, Romford and the rest of the list.

Wardrobes get taken apart. That is normal, and it is already how we have worked on Romford and Basildon jobs. White goods need to be empty. A freezer full of food is not a collection.

One item has a guide price on the prices page. The real number depends on access. A ground-floor sofa by the door is not the same labour as a wardrobe on the second floor of a flat with no lift.
